Photographic new years resolution: shoot more...

WatchRecently for class, we had an assignment to put together a political multimedia video.
I based mine on the protest outside of a fundraiser that was held by presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.
I have to say, I’m pretty happy with mine considering this is only my third video, it was shot three days before it was due, and edited from start to finish in about two, maybe three hours....

Did I mention I'll also be going back to 4x5 film...
$30 for 10 sheets of film, and I’ll be needing at least 50 sheets (knowing me, I’ll probably need twice that).
It’s a required course.
While the quality is amazing and gorgeous and it does things a tilt-shift lens can’t do, I’d rather not use the 4x5 camera and spend all that money.

I am SO excited to shoot food in the fall!
I know, I sound slightly insane. You’re probably thinking something along the lines of, “who the hell would want to shoot food,” “why would you want to work with an inanimate object,” or even, “do you realize all the work that goes into shooting food?” Yes, I’m aware, and I think it’s so interesting!
